Referral program — how it works

How ClientRadar's Refer & earn program works: what counts as a referral, when rewards land, the reward ladder, and the honest terms — rewards are earned only when a friend really activates or pays.

ClientRadar’s Refer & earn program is simple: share your personal link, and when the people who join through it get real value from ClientRadar, you climb a reward ladder. This page is the plain-language version of how it works and what the terms are. No fine-print surprises.

What counts as a referral

Every ClientRadar account has its own personal link — it looks like https://getclientradar.com/?ref=YOURCODE. You’ll find it, and a copy button, in the Refer & earn panel inside the app (open it from the sidebar, near Help & support).

A referral counts when someone lands on ClientRadar through your link and then installs and starts using it themselves. We track that through the same first-touch attribution the rest of the product uses — no extra step for you or them.

Sharing the link, or getting clicks on it, does not earn a reward by itself. The reward is tied to the person who joined actually using ClientRadar.

When rewards land

Rewards are earned only when a friend really activates or pays — never for a click, a signup, or a link share on its own:

  • Activation means the person who joined actually installed ClientRadar, connected a real logged-in session, and ran scans. It’s deliberately hard to fake.
  • Paid means that person upgraded to a paid ClientRadar plan.

The reveal boosts are fully automatic — extra daily lead reveals appear in your account right away and run for the rung’s window. The bigger rewards — the 80%-off coupon and the free Pro or Max months — we apply by hand, usually within a day or two; until then they show as “being applied” in your reward history. We do this by hand on purpose, so a free month is always a real free month, the coupon lands cleanly, and nothing collides with an active subscription.

The reward ladder

The ladder has two tracks. The join track counts friends who activate; the paid track counts friends who go paid, because the biggest rewards are tied to real, paying growth. Free users and paid users climb the same ladder — and it’s deliberately harder to climb than a click-for-cash scheme, because every rung is real.

A free user earning a real free month of Pro this way is one of the best moments in the product — it’s a genuine taste of the paid tier, earned by helping people who’ll actually use it.

The exact thresholds and reward sizes can be tuned over time; this page always reflects the current ladder.

What your friend gets

The share is the invite. When someone lands through your link, they get a boosted free start — extra daily lead reveals for about two weeks on their free tier — so they see more of what ClientRadar finds while they’re deciding. They’ll see a note that a ClientRadar user shared their start with them.

The honest terms

  • Rewards are earned by real referrals. Rewards you earn through genuine referrals are yours to keep.
  • Abuse doesn’t earn rewards. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, and any attempt to game the ladder can have rewards withheld or revoked. We use activation and account signals to catch this, and there are per-person caps.
  • The program can change. We may adjust the rewards, the thresholds, or end the program at any time. If we do, we’ll update this page. Anything you’ve already genuinely earned still stands.
  • No pressure. Referring is entirely optional. ClientRadar never nags you to refer, and your day-to-day use of the product doesn’t depend on it.
